I'm a tutor based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I enjoy reading, running, and cooking outside of the classroom. I graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Math. I'm also a licensed teacher in the same fields. I've worked with a variety of students in the St. Paul area, some who were struggling to maintain grade level standards and other who needed extra help for an upcoming AP test. I also spent a semester while in college in India helping students there learn about math and science, as well as helping them prepare to take the SAT. In particular, I really enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests. I use a method of teaching students how to critically think in order to help students master the material they're struggling with. I believe that students who are capable of thinking critically will be able to teach themselves new concepts in the future, as well as feel confident in the results that they eventually reach. The ability to think critically is applicable in all areas of life, and my hope is that my students will take the skills I teach them with them as they continue on in their educational journey. I hope that I can use these skills to help you excel in your own academic goals.
